Soothing vitamin E and hydrating hyaluronic acid replenish moisture and protect from irritation, inflammation and damage-causing friction. Natural ashwagandha acts as a skin protectant and helps reduce irritation.

Perfectly balanced to protect the natural vaginal microbiome and maintain healthy pH levels to support healthy bacteria that help diminish odor.

Formulated to have a low osmolality to maintain the same hydration levels as vaginal tissue - reducing the risk of drying out the mucous membranes and keeping the vaginal microbiome in a happy, balanced state.

Clinically-proven to maintain optimal vaginal health and help alleviate the most common vaginal health issues that women experience today: vulva pain and irritation, itching, burning, urinary tract infections (UTIs) and other common vaginal infections such as yeast infections and bacterial vaginosis (BV).

At Playground, there's no such thing as TMI

Naked Love is free of harsh, unnecessary ingredients commonly found in personal lubricants known to irritate vaginal tissue and disrupt PH Levels and healthy bacteria. It uses plant-based ingredients as well as hydrators such as Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E to moisturize and soothe the vaginal area and Ashwagandha to help protect the skin barrier. By removing irritants and infusing the formula with hydrating and gentle ingredients, vaginal skin is kept in an optimal, balanced state.

A hydrated and healthy vagina provides better protection and resilience against unhealthy bacteria and microbes that can enter cells and cause infections, discomfort, pain, irritation and odor.

Naked Love uses a unique Hyaluronic Acid that is similar to the natural hyaluronic acid found in vaginal cells. Over time, the amount of natural hyaluronic acid in our vagina starts to diminish and this causes a compromised skin barrier and dehydration, making irritation and infections more common. Playground's hyaluronic acid has a specific molecular weight that easily penetrates the vaginal mucosa for optimal hydration and health. We also incorporated Vitamin E to soothe and comfort the delicate vaginal tissue and adaptogenic herbs such as Ashwagandha to protect the skin barrier and help irritation and discomfort.

Naked Love is both a personal lubricant as well as a hydrating serum. It can be used during sexual intercourse to improve glide and alleviate pain, discomfort, irritation and infections commonly associated with sexual activity and can also be used as a daily vaginal serum to hydrate, soothe and protect the microbiome to relieve uncomfortable dryness, help protect skin and minimize odor causing bacteria.

Directions for use: For intercourse, apply a quarter sized amount to intimate areas prior to sexual activity. As a daily vaginal serum, apply a pea sized amount to external vulva skin for daily and sustained hydration. Naked Love can be used morning and night.

Yes, Naked Love is compatible with silicone toys, latex and polyisoprene condoms. It is not compatible with polyurethane condoms.

A UTI is an acronym for "urinary tract infection" and it occurs when bacteria enter the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and ureters. Women are more prone to UTIs than men primarily because their urethra is shorter and closer to the rectum, making it easier for bacteria, particularly Escherichia coli (E. coli), to enter the urinary tract.

Common symptoms of a UTI include a frequent and urgent need to urinate, a burning sensation during urination, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and sometimes discomfort or pain in the lower abdomen.

Bacterial Vaginosis (we can just call it BV as it's often referred to) is a common vaginal infection that occurs when there's an imbalance in the natural bacteria found in the vagina. Normally, Lactobacillus bacteria keep the vaginal environment slightly acidic, which prevents harmful bacteria from overgrowing. When this balance is disrupted, bad bacteria multiply, leading to BV.

Symptoms of BV include a thin, grayish-white or yellow vaginal discharge, a strong “fishy” odor, itching/irritation, and pain/burning after sex or urination.

BV can occur if the natural balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted. This can happen due to sexual activity, douching, and hormone changes that lower Lactobacillus bacteria (which helps maintain the healthy vaginal pH level).

A yeast infection, also known as vaginal candidiasis, occurs when there’s an overgrowth of a fungus called Candida, which naturally exists in the vagina. Normally, Candida levels are kept in check by healthy bacteria, but when the balance is disrupted, the yeast can multiply, leading to infection.

The symptoms include a thick, white discharge, intense itching inside and outside the vagina, redness/swelling of the vulva, and burning during/after sex or urination.

Antibiotics can kill healthy bacteria that help keep yeast in check. Pregnancy, menstruation, and hormone therapy can alter the vaginal environment, promoting yeast growth. People with uncontrolled diabetes may have higher sugar levels in vaginal secretions, which leads to yeast overgrowth. Conditions that weaken the immune system, such as HIV or certain medications, can make yeast infections more likely. Wearing tight or synthetic clothing traps moisture, creating a warm, humid environment ideal for yeast growth.

The key to preventing UTIs (and other common vaginal infections) is understanding that it all comes down to helping the vagina maintain its healthiest, pH balanced state.

The vagina has a natural self-cleaning process. Douching disrupts the healthy balance of bacteria and can cause pH changes. Likewise, it's best to avoid using harsh products in and around the vulva and vagina that can throw off your natural pH balance.

You can also opt for cotton underwear and avoid tight, non-breathable clothing. This allows airflow and reduces moisture buildup, which can help prevent infections. Friction and irritation during sex can introduce bacteria that doesn’t belong in the vagina. That's also why lubrication is key! Using a lubricant that is well-balanced and provides long lasting moisture will make sex more comfortable, more enjoyable, and less likely to lead to UTI or vaginal infections.

Lastly, a healthy diet and adequate hydration are helpful as well. It's best to limit antibiotic use unless it’s really necessary and take as your medical provider recommends; antibiotics may kill off the healthy bacteria we need to support vaginal pH. For those prone to infections, a probiotic that helps replenish Lactobacilli might help promote a healthy vaginal pH balance.

The pH balance of different parts of your body is important for anything from digestion to fighting off infection, among other essential functions.

‌The vagina’s pH level is about 3.8 to 4.5, which means it’s on the acidic side. Its acidity decreases as you get older, with its pH level rising closer to 5.

Your vagina naturally is home to different types of healthy, acid-producing bacteria. To prevent dryness and maintain a chemical balance, your vagina also regularly produces natural fluid and that fluid contains acids.

The vagina’s acidity helps protect it against harmful bacteria, parasites, and fungi. An unbalanced vaginal pH level can go along with bacterial infections and other health issues.

Osmolality is the measurement of how fluid moves from one cell to another. Vaginal cells naturally are filled with water and have a low osmolality so for women that are prone to irritation and infections, it is ideal to use a personal lubricant that has a similar osmolality level that matches their own. This will keep the vaginal microbiome in balance. For some women, using a formula that has a high osmolality will cause water to be drawn from vaginal cells, leaving them dehydrated and weak, therefore potentially damaging the tissue and increasing the risk for irritation and infections. While not all women are susceptible to this, for women that do suffer from vaginal symptoms such as irritation, burning, UTI’s, BV and yeast infections, it is ideal to use a formula that has a low osmolality to not disrupt the natural vaginal environment.Women that have a compromised barrier are more sensitive and better suited for formulas with a lower osmolality.

The typical range of vaginal osmolality is 260-290 Osm/kg. Naked Love's formula has a low osmolality range of 200 osm/kg- 400 Osm/kg.

Vaginal cells naturally have a high water content and yet lifestyle and hormonal fluctuations can diminish this moisture, weakening cells and making them more prone to infection. It's important for women to use vaginal products that maintain hydration, as this allows cells to be stronger and more resistant to irritation and infection.
